The sales team had empowered me and my team to assist in building a series of selling tools to align with the growth of mobility in the field. With the expertise built in my team, we suggested converting a traditional Excel tool that was regularly used to a mobile enabled toolset, allowing for
more dynamic interaction with the customer.
This tool specifically helped answer complex challenges Facilities and IT teams faced when designing, installing, and maintaining the physical infrastructure. Knowing the right tool set can ease this challenge, helping to ensure high levels of network performance while optimizing total cost of ownership, we built the app to demonstrate how our products and solutions could help solve these business problems.
The Panduit Sales Enablement app enabled anytime, anywhere access to the information needed most, from specifying the right product systems for the job to identifying the time and cost benefits achieved by deploying specific Panduit UPI-based solutions.
The following tools were included:
- Cost Calculator: Alien Crosstalk Testing – Estimate labor costs for AXT testing across multiple 10GBASE-T projects
- Cost Calculator: Data Center Cooling Efficiency – Estimate cooling cost recovered per year and simple payback period when using sealing grommets to seal tile cutout spaces
- Cabling Fill Capacity Calculator: Pathways – Calculate overhead data cable channel capacity requirements for existing applications (40% fill) and future expansion (60% fill)
- Cabling Fill Capacity Calculator: Surface Raceway – Identify raceway products and systems that meet your fill capacity requirements, including twin-channel raceway capacity for routing data and power cables
